HOW OFTEN SHOULD YOU ROTATE YOUR TIRES?

Regular vehicle maintenance is critical to keeping your vehicle in working condition and traversing the Kansas City and Cameron streets. One of the most common questions we get at Randy Curnow Chevrolet GMC about vehicle maintenance is, "How often should you rotate your tires."Â
For most cars, the rule of thumb is you should rotate your tires every 5,000 to 7,500 miles. However, four-wheel drive and all-wheel drive vehicles require a tire rotation every 3,000-5,000 miles because all of the wheels are used to drive the car, causing them to wear more quickly than tires on the front or rear-wheel drive vehicles. How to Know When to Rotate Your Tires
Now that you know how many miles to rotate tires, the next thing you need to know is how to tell when to rotate your tires based on their condition. One way you can tell that it's time to rotate your tires is if you notice significant differences in the wear in the tread on your tires. If you notice that some of your tires are visibly more worn than others, you should get your tires rotated as soon as possible.
Also, if you notice that your car vibrates at speeds of 45 mph or higher, it could be a sign that they're uneven and need rotating. Finally, if you notice that one or two of your tires losing pressure more rapidly than the rest, that could mean that there's more pressure on those tires than the rest, so you should get a tire rotation.
